BUILDING FOR GENERATIONS
The Kroiss family has been a well-respected custom homebuilder and residential land developer in the Twin Cities real estate market for over 75 years. Now in its third generation, Steve Kroiss Jr., owner of Kroiss Design Build, carries on the family reputation with over 30 years experience.
With a degree from St. John’s University, Steve began working with his father in 1988 building homes and developing property in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. Since then, Steve’s built several hundred new custom homes and has developed hundred’s of acres of property, many winning awards for their unique design, amazing quality and application of “Green” technologies.
Steve is a licensed Real Estate Broker (Lic. #20417741) and Contractor (Lic. #BC763347) in the state of Minnesota.

KROISS DESIGN + BUILD
Kroiss Development inc. was started approximately 21 years ago, at that time when we were
concentrating mainly on the semi custom home building market, and primarily in the city of Eden
Prairie, MN. Over the years we added real estate development, multi family and upper bracket
custom home building. The results of that was Kroiss Development, Inc winning numerous home
building awards. We decided to branch out and started building in other southwest Twin Cities
suburbs, but also Minneapolis as well.
After the real estate downturn in 2008, we decided to turn our focus to more upper bracket custom
homes, mainly setting our sights on buying homes that became tear downs, and rebuilds, in
Minneapolis and around lake Minnetonka. Many of these projects were architect driven and
extremely custom. These homes are very time consuming, detailed, and longer term projects, severaltook one, and sometimes two years to complete. The company grew to include several employeesand several projects going at the same time. With this re-focus of our business, we decided torestructure ownership, and create a new, and more focused brand, now called Kroiss Design + Build.
